New Construction: Our basic design philosophy at Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd. is “Team Design”. The building structure must serve the needs of the users of the facility. The need for structural integrity is only one of a myriad of user needs the building must satisfy. The guidance of the entire design team (users, owners, project managers and other consultants) is essential in developing the appropriate structural frame for the building. This project involves several complex requirements which emphasize the need for a strong coordinated team effort.
Building Science is a wide-ranging field that involves investigation of building components and management of associated construction projects. Cleland Jardine Engineering offers a variety of services in this sector including the following:
- Site investigation of structural and building envelope conditions as required to mitigate on going problems or modify buildings and structures to suit the current user.
- General condition surveys of building structures and building envelope for use in maintenance planning.
- Reserve Fund Studies for commercial and residential buildings for use in reserve fund planning.
- Design for mitigation of on-going problems or modification of structures to suit the current user.
- Tendering of projects as related to site investigations and condition surveys.
- Contract administration of projects.
- Construction management of projects.
- Field services for quality assurance in the completion of projects.

Andre Marcoux, P.Eng, ing., PMP

Mr. Marcoux, a partner with the firm, joined Cleland Jardine Engineering Ltd. in 1997, bringing with him a wealth of experience in many different fields of consulting, contracting and project administration. He has over 25 years experience in the local construction and engineering industry.
Mr. Marcoux is a licensed engineer in the provinces of Ontario and Québec, is a Gold Seal Certified project manager with the Canadian Construction Association and is a certified Project Management Professional with the “Project Management Institute”.
Mr. Marcoux is fully bilingual and holds a proficiency certificate from "Office de la Langue Française du Québec".
Mr. Marcoux heads the Project Management department and provides services in project management, design coordination, field review and contract administration.
